To be fair, I have only had breakfast here so I can't speak to the rest of the menu. Given the breakfast options in Gig Harbor, I still go to this restaurant on occasion. It is your standard breakfast food, nothing to write home about but still good enough to return.
Normally I would have given 3 stars, but I have a particular problem with service here. Don't get me wrong, there are some servers that are great. Friendly, attentive, and fast. However, if you get seated in the far right corner, you are in store for a bad experience. Whenever I go here, I silently pray that I am not seated in that section with a server that is just awful! I have had her as my server 3 different times now and every time it is a total goat show. She takes forever to greet our table, forgets part of our order and hardly ever checks in with us. At one point she argued with me when she brought me a completely different dish than I had ordered and when she finally "got it" she didn't even apologize for her craziness, she just whipped the plate away and blamed it on the kitchen. My friend also had a problem with a wrong order (asked for cheese melted on top of her potatoes) and instead of taking the whole plate away, she scraped the potatoes onto a side plate and took them back to the kitchen only to return with a few scant pieces of cheese burned on top. (I know that part wasn't her, but she should have told the kitchen how the dish looked and had them re-do it).
I'd say try this place out for breakfast, don't go with high expectations and ask to be seated in Brittany's section. She's great. And avoid, if at all possible, the section on the far right corner and the really tall waitress with a super long ponytail. You'll notice her because she is always in a hustle, just never hustling to do anything and she constantly barks orders at the younger hostesses. It's almost funny to watch, but try to watch from a different section!
