Harvester

The all you can eat salad bar was well stocked and looked fresh. I ordered the Rib eye steak cooked medium rare(very nice) but the chips were almost invisible think the chef couldn't be bothered to cook more up or wait for more to be ready would have said something to the server but didn't fancy my steak getting cold. The bar was nice and the atmosphere was good. Service was friendly.

As we were staying in the Holiday Inn Express next door we ate in the Harvester the first night of our stay. The pub is pretty new, with nice decor inside. Its been a while since I have visited a Harvester as im not a big fan of these big chain restaurants, but was pleasantly surprised by the varied menu and "sensible" prices.

The staff initially were friendly and quick however by the time we had finished, the plates were left on the tables while the staff chatted amonst themselves near to us about social events, until the manager came over and asked them not to do it and to clean the tables. I would have left a tip would have not been for this, as I had to get up and ask for the bill rather than wait any longer.

Overall nothing special, its ok, the food was ok and the surroundings ok, typical Harvester really....

this eatery is near the foorball stadium and serves guests at the holiday in express, it looks like the bog standard psuedo aged, new build, i was pleasently surprised, as i couldn't get a table, but was invited to eat by the bar, this i did and for £5.49 got a visit to the salad bar and had better than average fish and chips

My partner and I ate here while on our stay at the nearby Holiday Inn. The service was fast even though it was busy, the steak I ordered was amazing, as was the Tex Mex starter. Prices are average. The salad bar is good as it is free and eat as much as you like, the choice of salads/pastas etc on the bar could be better. Overall a pleasant night and would visit there again.

I went here very recently with a large group of friends and found they had a new menu which we were all really impressed with, its much better value for money and the portions arent so huge, you still get your unlimited salad bowl though so you big eaters can fill up, I was actually stuck for choice on the menu as there were so many options I wanted, def worth a revisit if you havent seen the new menu!
